Waste collection and classification

The raw material is collected from two main sources – cutting clips from CMT factories and yarn waste from spinning/weaving mills.

Recycling

Each quality/colour is mechanically opened back into fibres. We focus on keeping the fibre length as long as possible, for the finest yarn quality.

Materials Mix

The mechanically opened cotton waste can be mixed with chemically recycled polyester or viscose fibres to reach a specific functionality depending on the final use of the fabric.

Spin

The mixed recycled fibres are spun into yarns. This part of the process is the same as with spinning fresh fibres.

Final Product

The raw material is collected from two main sources – cutting clips from CMT factories and yarn waste from spinning/weaving mills.

CMT

This process includes cutting, making and trimming of the final product.

Finishing

Also depending on the final use of the fabric, there are multiple ways of finishing the process, such as compacting, brushing and washing.

Knit

The yarns are knitted or woven depending on the final use of the fabric.

We design a responsible process to convert recycled materials, from their original state to fibers and, in turn, into thread, fabric and t-shirts.

Our threads have the recycling certification endorsed by Global Recycled Standard of Control Union where the traceability of the raw material is the primary factor.

Thanks to our chemical-free process to dye our products we reduce water consumption and energy use without polluting the environment, recovering materials such as pre-consumption cotton cuttings and post-consumption PET.
